In need of a safe haven from those who would do your people harm? Just wish to lend your aid to those who need it most? The Bleeding Heart serves not only as a means to help those in need, but to push back against those who would deem themselves superior. Be it a sharp mind, a kind heart, a healing hand or a clashing sword - all are needed for the Heart’s true cause.Behind the bar, those of the Heart can do their part to help groups that are often unjustly demonized. Beyond the doors of the kitchen lies a base and home for those who have joined the cause. We aim to help all we can, from the tribes that many would call beasts, to the people of Thanalan who are denied the most basic of needs by those in power.Interested in joining the cause? Our Story

Created by a found family of people eager to take a more direct route to helping people in need, the Bleeding Hearts are a tightknit group working out of their smokey bar in La Noscea. While most would simply know the place as nothing but a charming little hole-in-the-wall establishment, in the backrooms, it's much, much more. Using the cafe as a front and base of operations, the Bleeding Hearts aim to fight for, perform charities, and give direct aid to those less privileged all over Eorzea and beyond - regardless of whatever authorities or oppressive groups would try and stop them.Over time, through the actions of it's people, the Bleeding Heart has managed to establish itself as a place of refuge amongst the downtrodden, somewhere where people might relax and speak easy on their worries without fear of persecution. Spoken of in hushed tones so that any authorities might not hear, those in the know spread the word that their doors are always open to those in need, be it for a simple meal and place to sleep, or for help righting a wrong that official channels refuse to recognize - or even benefit from. Sure, their operations might be of dubious legality, but anyone who's brushed against the supposedly righteous law of the city-states knows the law does not always serve the best interests of the people. Being branded criminals is a small price to pay, all things considered.Some might call them ambitious, others foolhardy, but but at the end of the day, they're all just a couple of bleeding hearts.

Our Aim

A Free Company/CWLS created by and for marginalized groups, we were tired of having to deal with the endless half-support from other spaces. Places that would say they were accepting, but weren't, places that were only protective of one marginalized group but not another. So, we decided to make our own, one where we could actually feel comfortable and feel heard.Our aim, above all else, is to offer marginalized people a safe space where we can enjoy telling stories and playing this silly little game together. We do not tolerate any racism, ableism, queerphobia, sexism, colourism or any other kind of discrimination, and pointedly try to make sure those in majority groups (i.e cis, white, straight) actually make space for marginalized people. With a proactive approach, we actively try to prevent the usual tirades of toxicity that seem to flood other spaces at worst or be ignored at best.We explicitly and irrevocably support and welcome LGBTQIA+ people, PoC, and every kind, shade, and shape of each. There is no gatekeeping here, only accepting and understanding folk who want to chill out and have a good time.We have no leader nor any rigid hierarchy to how we run things, focusing on a community-focused structure with a representative council of mods and volunteers from within our group. It is important for the health of the community that if any leadership decisions are to be made, they are made with everyone's perspectives taken into account, or at the very least are taken with mindfulness of the experiences we might lack. We hope that with such an approach we can bypass many pitfalls others seem to dive headfirst into.While this space was created specifically for the marginalized, we also want to be able to tell our stories within it. All too often are our stories as PoC, LGBTQIA+, or neurodivergent people are bastardized, fetishized, or ignored entirely by majority groups, so much so that it overflows into roleplaying stories as well. We hope to create and maintain a space where we all can tell stories that represent our experiences, and we hope that you might be able to find some solace in that, too.In conclusion, the Bleeding Hearts isn't just a roleplaying group but a friend group of likeminded folk. One can't take care of others without first taking care of themselves. Luckily, Weeping helps with just that. As den mother of the group, she provides - funding, supplying, and maintaining the Heart, itself. Under her watch, the Heart will always have enough - for themselves and others.

Any bard worth their salt knows the value of rumors, and Elelli is no exception to this. Friendly and unassuming, he can blend into a room, and his sharp ears can pick up whispers that others would prefer to go unheard. After all, folks say all sorts of things when in their cups, and there's little a clever bard doesn't hear.

Hiding in plain sight is second nature to Creanise, having lived as nothing more than a dutiful shadow for years, weaving in and out without none the wiser. But now, given a choice, they use their past experiences for the better, serving primarily as a fledgling physician at the Heart while passing along information as needed.

Ashley Denzari

Muscle

Ashley may not look like a pugilist, but looks are deceiving; her lithe frame holds near-impossible strength, and she knows a range of martial techniques learned from both her aunt and guild master. She might not have a lot of finesse or strategic knowhow, but if you need someone protected or thrown through a wall, there's few better for the job.

How to join

Interested in joining? Great! No matter you be a blade, a healer, a craftsperson, an investor, or even just an extra hand at the bar, we need all sorts to help us help others. While we are an FC in game, we don't require people actually join anything other than the CWLS that we use to talk in-game and our discord that we use as our main little hub. So if you're already in another fc or in another server, we don't mind in the slightest and you can still be a part of our little group.If you've read this far, we'd love to hear from you!
